The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Ferozpur College of Engineering and Technology (FCET), Ferozpur aims to establish an exemplary blend of research and dissemination of technical know-how at the class room, laboratory and industry level. The present in-take in the department is 60.

The Mechanical Engineering provides a solid foundation for professional engineering practice, and further study in Mechanical Engineering or many other related fields. The major requirements are to develop the students' ability to apply scientific principles in the design and analysis of mechanical and energy conversion systems. Fusion, change management and adaptation have been the hall marks
of Mechanical Engg. A Mechanical Engineer should always remember that his present is necessary for the survival of industry at large, so on his knowledge , skills and adaptability to change depends the nation’s economy.

With the increase in demand for engineers the pastures for mechanical engineers remain greener because of their ability to adapt to any technical field.
